Cobra - How did you and your son get involved in racing motocross?
Jeff - I have shared my love for mortorcycles with my boys. They both fell head over heels at a very early age. Racing motocross was a natural progression.
Cobra - When did you realize your son was ready for competition at the national level?
Jeff - 2004 was a turning year for our family. We had been racing some Missouri State races and decided to take a vacation for the first time in 5 years. We decided going to Ponca would be a good idea. Little did we know that vacation would change our lifes forever. Carter decided at that race he could compete at the highest levels and he has wanted to be at that level ever since.
Cobra - What advice would you give a new Cobra family that wants to get the most out of racing?
Jeff - Keep the family unit involved. Give everyone a job to do. No matter how young or old. The whole family will look forward to going to every race no matter how big or small.
Cobra - Why did you decide on the Cobra brand of motorcycle and not another brand?
Jeff - When you want to race at the highest levels you want a chance to win. Cobra motorcycles have helped to give the Stephenson family that chance since 1999. There has been at least one Cobra sitting in my shop since 1999.
Cobra - What are your best tips on keeping your Cobra running in top shape?
Jeff
- Change the oil as often as possible (every moto if time allows), air filters... Do not fix something that is working good!

Cobra - What do you like most about racing?
Carter - Competition and going fast.
Cobra - Tell us how you train for motocross?
Carter - Push ups, sit ups, bicycle, and chasing my brother around the track.
Cobra - What do you like most about your Cobra motorcycle?
Carter - It is fast.
Cobra - What's your favorite race?
Carter - Branson (My first titles were won there) it is rough, and fast.
