Q and A with Sean's mom, Tina Cantrell
Cobra - How did you and your son get involved in racing motocross?
Tina - It started with his big brother racing, then on his 4th birthday he got to race for the first time on his PW50. I think he finished 4th out of 9 riders, then he was hooked!
Cobra - When did you realize your son was ready for competition at the national level?
Tina - We didn't really realize it?
We went to the AZ Amateur open and he did well then we tried Texas and tried to hit everything that year. We didn't even know about Loretta Lynn's untill we went to Texas for Whitney.
Cobra - What advice would you give a new Cobra family that wants to get the most out of racing?
Tina - Don't go into debt for the sport! It is hard to do because everything is so expensive but keep a level head.. Also let them play another sports. Don't put too mutch pressure on motocross. I think it is too much, they need to know that motocross isn't their only identity.
Cobra - Why did you decide on the Cobra brand of motorcycle and not another brand?
Tina - Sean started on a PW then an XR then very soon after he was on a KTM JR. It wasn't long till he was taking that to its limit. No one in our area had Cobras really but we heard he needed one. He took to it immediately. In two laps he would not get on the KTM JR again.
Cobra - What are your best tips on keeping your Cobra running in top shape?
Tina - Mike comes home from work and spends a whole day cleaning, stacking, greasing, jut always keeping up with the maintenance. This sport is too dangerous on its own not to be absolutely sure every time your child puts a leg over you know it wont have any mechanical failure that could have been avoided. If you don't have time for maintenance you don't have time to ride!

- Sean - 50cc 7-8 try to win it all!

65cc 7-9 AMA try to qualify for Loretta's and place top 10
