- “Bubba, but only if he keeps racing outdoors.”

- How did you
and your son get involved in racing motocross?
Mike
- “I had raced as a kid, and was still racing
Vet class when Weston was born. So as soon as
I could, I got him on a motorcycle.”
Cobra - When
did you realize your son was ready for competition
at the national level?
Mike
- “We went to a national before he was ready!
Two weeks after getting his CM, when he was four
years old, we went to the World Minis in Vegas.
The funny thing is he battled with Brandon Smith,
who is still one of our toughest competitors today.
This year will be Weston’s fifth year at
World Mini and he is only eight.”
Cobra - What
advice would you give a new Cobra family that wants
to get the most out of racing?
Mike
- “Have fun locally, but don’t be
afraid to go to a National. It is a great experience
for the kids.”

- Why did you decide
on the Cobra brand of motorcycle and not another
brand?
Mike
- “That
was easy! I looked at national results and it
was 98% Cobra.”
Cobra - What
are your best tips on keeping your Cobra running
in top shape? Mike
- “Don’t overlook the basics. Keep
it clean, keep the stator dry and do regular clutch
maintenance….keep those washers clean!”
