YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, (Nov. 10, 2003) - Officials
at Rev! Motorcycles have come to an agreement
with Cobra Motorcycle Manufacturing Inc., maker
of the world's fastest 50cc motocross bikes,
to purchase the company and bring its products,
team and expertise into the Rev! family. The
newly formed combination will continue with
the legendary Cobra brand name and will be called
Cobra Sport, Inc.
Bud Maimone, Cobra founder, marketed the first
truly race-ready 50cc motocross bike. "Bud's
contributions to motocross are extraordinary
and we are proud to carry on the tradition of
Cobra and thrilled that he will continue to
be part of the team" said Cobra's new President
Sean Hilbert. "Bud created the market for
the high performance 50cc motocross bike and
his legacy will continue with Cobra through
his hands-on involvement with the company."
Rev!, like Cobra, is run by people who are
passionate about the motocross community. "Our
vision for what Cobra can be is that riders
and their parents have access to products and
service which is customized for them. This means
that Cobra will move to new levels of innovation,
customer and dealer service," said Cobra's
Vice President Mike Tinskey.
Bud Maimone, who turns over the reigns of Cobra
to Rev!'s Sean Hilbert and his team, says "The
Rev! team was chosen because Cobra's current
and future customers need people who care about
riders as much as I do. We put together an exhaustive
search and were fortunate to find the Rev! team
- people who are as passionate about minicycles
as I am."
Cobra's future plans include improving the
quality and performance of existing products
and expanding product offerings. Cobra also
plans to improve the riders' access to product
and service, and will continue to produce and
promote the most successful minicycle racing
program in the United States.

Florida Cobra racer Adam Cianciarulo goes undefeated
at the AMA Winter Olympics, capturing the title
in his last 4-6 50cc race; Covington & Bell
podium as well
ANAHEIM, Calif., (Dec. 3, 2003) - It's not
very often at a minicycle race that the entire
crowd, including track workers, fellow riders,
parents, race officials, concessions staff,
event sponsors and such stop what they're doing
to watch a moto. But such was the case when
six-year-old Adam Cianciarulo piloted his American-made
Cobra CM 50 for the last time in the 4-6 50cc
class, bringing home the gold in sweeping every
qualifier and moto in his class at the Mini
O's this past week in Florida.
"The kid is just amazing," said Cobra
President Sean Hilbert. "Adam and his parents
have been aligned with Cobra for two seasons
now and he's certainly one of the 'up-and-coming'
stars to keep an eye on. Cobra looks forward
to continuing its relationship with the Cianciarulos
when Adam moves up to the 7-8 class next year."
Cianciarulo's only challenge of the weekend
came during the final moto when another Cobra
hotshot - Alabama's Thomas Covington - battled
up front to put the pressure on Adam. Both riders
would actually go down on the last lap of the
final moto, with Cianciarulo recovering to take
the win and Covington finishing in second -
giving Cobra the 1-2 sweep.
"I had a lot of fun this week," said
Cianciarulo. "But I'm really looking forward
to moving up to the 7-8 class next year. The
competition's going to be really good."
Noteworthy: Cianciarulo will ride the legendary
King 50, celebrating it's 10th year of competition
success in the minicycle ranks.
In the 7-8 50cc supercross event, Florida Cobra
racer Zach Bell finished a strong second, only
to have his hopes of an overall Mini O's championship
dashed when he had a spectacular crash in the
start of his first motocross event qualifier.
Undaunted, Bell seemed more angry at himself,
got up, brushed himself off and finished the
race.
"We just plain had some bad luck in the
7-8 class this year," said minicycle icon
Bud Maimone, founder of Cobra. "But I can't
complain too much. We still took the majority
of the podium spots in the 50cc classes."
Added Phil McDowell, Cobra's Chief Engineer:
"The Cobra Factory was able to finish off
the week of racing with a test session at Gatorback.
The competition trying to knock Cobra off the
top is stronger than ever and we need to ensure
we have the best product on the track. And what
a better way to do that than have the best minicycle
racers in the world put our new bikes through
their paces for a couple days prior to delivering
the Cobra product to our dealers."

ANAHEIM, Calif., (Nov. 25, 2003) - Cobra Motorcycles
announced today that it has come to an agreement
with Mike Burkeen to take over the position
of National Sales Manager for Cobra, effective
immediately.
Burkeen, a relative newcomer to the motorcycle
industry per say, no doubt brings with him a
wealth of minicycle knowledge based mainly on
his son, Matthew, a multi-time Loretta Lynn's
qualifier. In a addition, Burkeen has 18 years
of experience in sales and sales management
- something that will suit him well when taking
over the day-to-day communications operations
between Cobra, its dealers and its end customers.
"Mike fits our national sales and marketing
plan perfectly," said Sean Hilbert, President
of Cobra. "We were looking for someone
with a proven sales track record who also had
intimate knowledge of the mini motocross market,
and Mike is that person."
Hilbert explained that Burkeen will start right
away developing the dealer network, improving
communication lines between Cobra and its dealers
and working with the race team on development
issues and racer support at the national races;
A racer through his adolescent years and into
his teens, Burkeen, like many proud minicycle
fathers has spent his halcyon days racing the
vet class and watching one of his sons, Matthew,
seven, come up through the ranks of minicycle
racing.
"I'm blessed to have been able to enjoy
the minicycle experience with my own son and
certainly look forward to applying what I've
learned to Cobra and its effort to expand and
deliver what we certainly feel is the fastest,
most competitive minicycle on the market,"
said Burkeen. "I'm looking forward to working
with the many dealers around the country and
am not adverse to spinning wrenches and getting
my hands dirty as well."
Burkeen, who resides in North Carolina, is
married (Lynne) with three children. Sons Matthew
and Andrew, two, and daughter Jensen, five.
