HILLSDALE, Mich., (April 23, 2009) – The British Youth ATV National at Dunn’s in Scotland was dominated by kids on Cobra ECX50 mini quads, with Cobra kids sweeping the top five spots in the 50cc Modified class.
Cobra-mounted Laurence White was on it, winning the class by more than 30 seconds every moto, according to Cobra UK’s Neil McClelland. “The kid is quick,” he says.
Noteworthy: Some 75-percent of the 50cc class lineup at Dunn’s was comprised of kids on Cobras.
In the 100cc Modified class, Cobra racers were a bit overmatched given the different displacement allotments for the European classes (70cc Cobras vs. 105cc competition). But that didn’t stop Cobra ATV factory racer Adam James from putting up the day’s best lap time – especially considering he was 35cc under powered!
James would finish 2nd in the class despite the displacement handicap.
